As for Me and My House, We Shall Serve the Lord
Y'hoshua 24:2

THE SIDDUR (LITURGY)
of Tikvat Yisra'el Congregation

Y'SHUA, LORD of the SHABBOT

READER: As Yeshua is Lord of the Sabbath, we are reminded that the Sabbath was made for man. It is the memorial of creation, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and in the seventh day he rested.

CONGREGATION: It is a memorial of the Exodus as well. The Exodus was the great miracle of God for Israel's deliverance from Egypt and declares that Israel was to be a free people.

READER: The Sabbath is a day for liberty from all bondage, a day for healing. Yeshua bids us, "Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me... for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

CONGREGATION: We are enjoined to not fail to respond in faith and to be precluded from entering into the rest of God provided through faith in Yeshua.

READER: We look forward to the age of rest to come when Yeshua shall rule over all the earth. Let us praise and worship him in joy and thanksgiving.
