Youth Program Tikvat’s Youth Program is a member of the national: YMJA (Young Messianic Jewish Alliance). www.ymja.org At this time, Tikvat Yisrael is seeking a full time Youth Director. Until the appointment is made, a committee made up of parents and youth members selects the monthly activities. One Shabbat weekend per month is designated as “Youth Weekend”.

Teens ages 13-21 are involved with the service, reading from the Torah, giving a drash and leading worship. The rabbi’s message is geared to the Youth. Then in the evening a Youth social event is held including pizza parties, roller-skating, bowling, movies, outdoor events et cetera. Please pray that soon a spirit-filled Youth Leader will be acquired to guide our youth and to reach the next generation of Messianic Jewish Believers.

A chavurah or havurah (Hebrew: "fellowship", plural chavuroth) is a small group of like-minded Jews who assemble for the purposes of facilitating Shabbat and holiday prayer services, sharing communal experiences such as lifecycle events, and Jewish learning (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havurah) Other Programs Available:

Tikvat Yisrael currently has two Havurah groups that meet weekly for the purpose of Torah Study, discipleship, outreach, worship, and fellowship. It is our vision to grow and reach our community and create more groups. It is important for the spiritual health of our members that small groups be available to promote community.
